I am excited about this opportunity to continue serving the Rockwall County community in this different role. I am a proud product of Rockwall County, having attended Rockwall ISD schools during my formative years and graduating from Rockwall High School in 1984.  My wife and I first met in 1979 at the original location of what is now Lakepointe Church. More than four decades later, we have raised our three children here and Rockwall County remains home.  We attend Ridgeview Church. 

While working my way through college, I earned a degree in political science from California State University, Long Beach. I later obtained my law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Philadelphia. 

For more than 19 years, I have served the Rockwall County community as a local attorney.  In addition, I have served as Past President of the Rockwall County Bar Association, Past President of the Rockwall Rotary Foundation, long-time membership in the Rockwall Noon Rotary Club – Rotarian of the Year (2016-17), prior service as a court appointed special advocate (a “CASA”), serving on the Board of Directors of Texas (state wide) CASA, and teaching dual-credit American Government at Heritage Christian Academy (2009 – 2025).  

Throughout my 27 years as an attorney, I have advocated passionately for my clients in and out of the courtroom, while demonstrating my commitment to treating everyone with fairness, respect, and dignity, and to firmly defending the rule of law. If elected, I will bring that same commitment, my legal experience, and life experience to every decision, while working to ensure that the Rockwall County Court at Law #1 continues to operate efficiently and effectively.
